About Us
The Rehoboth Beach Library, by providing access to information, supports and encourages the freedom to read, learn and discover in a welcoming environment. A strong emphasis is placed on providing current, high-demand, high-interest materials. Those materials are available in a variety of formats to community residents and summer visitors. We strive to enhance the quality of life-long learning and love of reading.Rehoboth Beach Library, serving an area of 11,500 residents, has a collection of 30,580 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 1,875 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 800 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public with a Delaware library card.
Staffing consists of 8 employees, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $220,000. Patrons make 94,390 visits annually, and check out materials 65,634 times. Twenty-seven percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
When visiting the Rehoboth Beach Library you will find free parking available in the rear of the building. Also there are designated spaces available at Martin's Lawn Parking lot; the public parking lot behind the library. HOURS:
